Nirankari Samagams are large spiritual congregations or gatherings organized by the Sant Nirankari Mission where followers come together to participate in various spiritual activities such as prayers, discourses, and devotional singing. These samagams are held regularly in various cities, and are attended by thousands of followers from different parts of the world.
The purpose of these samagams is to provide an opportunity for followers to connect with each other, share their spiritual experiences, and strengthen their faith in the teachings of the Sant Nirankari Mission. They also provide an opportunity for followers to learn from the Satguru and other spiritual leaders of the Mission, and deepen their understanding of the principles of the Mission.
During Nirankari Samagams, the Satguru delivers spiritual discourses and talks on the teachings of the mission, emphasizing the importance of self-realization and the realization of the divine within oneself. These discourses aim to inspire and motivate followers to live a life of love, compassion, and service to humanity.
In addition to the Satguru's discourses, Nirankari Samagams also feature devotional music performances, prayer sessions, and other cultural activities. The atmosphere at these gatherings is one of unity, harmony, and brotherhood, where people from different backgrounds and walks of life come together to celebrate their common spiritual journey.
ANNUAL SANT SAMAGAM
The Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam began in 1948 under Shahenshah Baba
Avtar Singh Ji's divine aegis. From a small gathering of only a few
hundred people, it has grown to witness overwhelming participation from
around a million devotees worldwide.
The Samagam's venue has changed over the years, from Nirankari Colony to Idgah, Ram Lila Grounds, the backside of Lal Qila, large grounds of Burari, and now held at Mission's land at Samalkha, Haryana. The beauty of the Samagam lies in the organic merger of various languages and cultures through speeches, hymns, poems, skits, and dances. Free community kitchen and many subsidized canteens serve quality food throughout the day and night. Other facilities include free medical help, railway and flight ticket booking, ATMs, and publications. The exhibition center showcases the history, ideology, and journey of the Mission and its masters.
BHAKTI PARV SAMAGAM
The Bhakti Parv Samagam is celebrated annually in January across various
branches of the Sant Nirankari Mission worldwide, with the main congregation
taking place near the Sarovar Complex in New Delhi. Thousands of devotees
come together to celebrate the spirit of loving devotion that is central to
the Mission's ideology, with speeches, poems, and songs based on the
teachings of various saints and sages. The Bhakti Parv reminds devotees to
have gratitude towards the formless God, Nirankar, and his creation, and
emphasizes the importance of detached attachment through the grace of the
Satguru and enlightened souls.
MANAV EKTA DIWAS
Manav Ekta Diwas is a day that commemorates the sacrifice of Baba
Gurbachan Singh Ji, who gave his life for the betterment of humanity. In
1980, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji was tragically killed by a group of
hardliners, but his message of peace and love was continued by Baba
Hardev Singh Ji, who preached that "blood should flow in veins, not in
drains."
In honor of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji's legacy, Nirankari devotees and sewadars around the world donate thousands of units of blood every year, with over a million units donated to date. The day is observed globally in thousands of branches, and a large-scale congregation is held every year on 24th April at the Mission's headquarters in Delhi. During this congregation, the life and teachings of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji serve as an inspiration for all, and Chacha Pratap Singh Ji, who sacrificed his life to save Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, is also remembered with deep respect. The fundamental message of the day is to promote the unity of all humanity.
SAMARPAN DIWAS
Samarpan Diwas is observed on 13th May by Nirankari devotees in memory of
Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, who lived his life dedicated to divine
principles of love, forgiveness, compassion, and oneness. He traveled
extensively with Nirankari Rajmata Ji and Mata Savinder Hardev Ji, spreading
the word of God to millions of people worldwide. Baba Hardev Singh Ji's
magnetic smile reflected the purity of his being, and his social and
spiritual initiatives transformed the hearts and minds of many. He passed
away tragically in an accident in Canada in 2016, and on Samarpan Diwas, he
is remembered with deep reverence along with Rev. Avneet Setya Ji, a
committed and unwavering young follower of the Mission who was also lost in
the same incident.
